ELIMINATE GYM-TIMIDATION

By the end of this blog post, I want you to be able to walk into a gym with more confidence and knowledge.

Naturally as women, we have been over powered by men and we need to take action in conquering the control!

Gym-timidation has happened to us all and I want to help you get rid of the fear of walking into a gym and walking right out.

Using these tips will hopefully encourage you to become fearless and get results without feeling helpless.

THE TIPS

LOOK THE PART, FEEL THE PART

Wear something that you are confident in such as your favorite Gym Shark leggings and sweatshirt and your coolest kicks. This will boost your spirits right away and even get you in the mood to workout.

HAVE A PLAN

Having a plan is something that I do before every workout and it works for two reasons. It lets me use my time efficiently when I am at the gym, and I can stay in the zone because I know what is coming up next.

If I am walking around aimlessly, not knowing what to do next, I often times bum out and leave.

Keeping a plan with you, even if you write it down and bring it in, will help you feel more confident and you’ll get the most out of your workout.

BRING A BUDDY

Bringing a buddy is fun and motivating and you can look silly together! Whenever I am with a friend, if we aren’t goofing off, we push each other and help keep our form in line.

If you do not have a buddy to bring, listen to your favorite playlist and turn up your music so you can feel the energy and put it into a good workout.

GO TO THE CARDIO MACHINES FIRST

Go on a cardio machine to workout. Often gyms are laid out so you can see the rest of the gym while you are in the cardio section.

You can easily scope out the gym and find machines that aren’t being used or spaces that are tucked away so you can be in your own bubble.

This is also a good time to plan your workout for the day and you get to warm up at the same time, killing two birds with one stone!
